1 You have searched me, Lord,
and you know me.
2 You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar.
3 You discern my going out and my lying down;
you are familiar with all my ways.
4 Before a word is on my tongue
you, Lord, know it completely.
5 You hem me in behind and before,
and you lay your hand upon me.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
too lofty for me to attain.
–Psalm 139
These verses remind us that God holds us in the hull of His hand. What a wonderful picture: He hems us in behind and before and lays His hand over us. We can’t go anywhere that He isn’t aware of. We cannot escape His presence.
God has us. He is holding us. He is encouraging us. As you go through the day, see how He is working in your life and the lives of those around you. Continue to let God, as He blesses you, make you a blessing to your neighbor, to your family, to those you encounter.
Continue to be faithful. Walk with Him each day. Spend time in prayer. Spend time in God’s word.
