The Glorious Splendor of Your Majesty by Jason G. Lutz

I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty, And on Your wondrous works.”
(‭‭Psalms‬ ‭145:5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)
They boys and I spent Tuesday at Chief Logan State Park.  It really is one of our state’s treasures.  The mountains roll just enough that one finds the beauty in contrast landscape of our mountain home at its best.  How could anyone desire to live anywhere else?
When we say that God’s works are wondrous we are making a direct and honest statement of how great He is, how great the Creator of it all is.  I find myself regularly in awe, not just of mountains and streams but of the beautiful simplicity of the differently abled or the personalities that jump out of a good biography.  God has created some really interesting folks!
I love that the Psalmist used to term “meditate on the splendor of your majesty”.  We are being invited (compelled is a better term, but I digress) to immerse ourselves and fill our minds with the great Things He has done and is doing.
I encourage each of you at some point today to meditate on the splendor and wonder of God.  Read the complete text of Psalm 145, appreciate the greening of the trees, think about the kind nature of somebody you know, or something else entirely.  The Father’s majesty is not limited to my lists.  What I mean specifically: for a few moments replace human cynicism with God ordained Wonder.
Grace be with you,

Jason
