“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, and rejoice in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” –1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18
As followers of Jesus, we are called to be filled with joy. We rejoice in times of blessing, but we are also called to rejoice in times of trouble. We need to see God in each turn and be able to make note of him in our own lives to keep us encouraged and inspired. Then we need to share with others to be an encouragement and a comfort to them as well.
We must pray always. Walk through life praying and allow his thoughts to become our thoughts. Don’t let a moment pass without being mindful that God is on the throne and in control. We can come to him with boldness and confidence to make each of our requests known.
We are to fill our petitions and our prayers with thanksgiving. There is much to be thankful for. I encourage you today to think about those things you’re thankful for and bless others by being an agent of encouragement and blessing wherever God places you.
