In the Beginning by Jason G. Lutz

In the Beginning by Jason G. Lutz

Forgive me folks, I am going to be a touch lazy this week and allow the Word of God to speak for itself (should do this more often I suppose).  I really love Saint John, I always see him as the romantic of the New Testament authors.  What I mean is that St. John uses a beautiful form of prose to show that Jesus is all the Glory of God made human.  This Glory was before the Creation and will be with His children for all eternity; He came to us because we are desperate for Him.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.”
(‭‭John‬ ‭1:1-5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”
‭‭(John‬ ‭1:14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)
This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.”
(‭‭I John‬ ‭1:5-7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Merry Christmas,

Jason
