Christian Liberty by Jason G. Lutz

Christian Liberty by Jason G. Lutz

All things are lawful for me, but not all things are helpful; all things are lawful for me, but not all things edify.
‭(‭I Corinthians‬ ‭10:23‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)
Christian Liberty is an amazing thing.  Think about it for a few moments.  We do not need to seek out a high priest to make intercession on our behalf, we are in full relationship with Christ, the High Priest.  We do not have to make pilgrimages or meet a demanding religious schedule, because sitting by our firesides with an open Bible is much more Wonderful.  And this is beautiful!  We are not made unrighteous by what we choose to eat and we are not made righteous by what we choose not to eat.
I imagine many of you are thinking here comes the “but”.  Thats not my game at all.  You and I both know the “do nots” well enough.  What I am going to say is that Christian Liberty gives us free license to be about our Father’s business.
Notice the development of this section of Scripture:
“Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
(‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭10:31‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)
And the apex:
““just as I also please all men in all things, not seeking my own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.”
(‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭10:33‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)
Salvation, the redemption of the lost, is the key.
Grace be with you,

Jason
