Our History
Emmanuel Baptist is affiliated with the West Virginia Baptist Convention.
Founded in 1910 with only 12 members the church first met in a small building on “A” street. In 1923 the church moved to its current location at the corner of Washington Street, West and Florida Street, Charleston, WV. Although the West Side of Charleston has undergone many changes in the last one hundred years Emmanuel Baptist has remained committed to serving the surrounding community by demonstrating the best life is a life in Christ.
